Protest In London Over Banking Crisis

When are we going to get out and let Wall Street know what we think of them? The Brits are way ahead of us in showing their displeasure with the greed and mismanagement of our money. What are we doing? Well... I'm sick and I'm blogging. What are you doing?

This is last years protest. Today's was even better, and no one got shot by the cops or tased or had their skulls fractured by billy-clubs. I bet that would never happen here without a few dozen fatalities.

I agree, it would be a bloodbath. The secret is that the Brits and Europeans do this sort of thing on a regular basis, and everybody gets to know the drill.

Our problem is that we spend so much time, angst and money in the long drawn out election campaigns, making sure that “our” candidate “wins” that by the time we find ourselves being bent over in that same old familiar fashion, we are just too pooped to protest.

Oh... I think Wall St. knows... and I think that Wall St. doesn't give a damn.

It's another world.

I don't even know why they are bothering to call this a summitt. The actual time they are together amounts to less than 10 hours. And it seems each country has already decided on it's own plan of action.

Protests are not going to do anything unless they involve millions.

I think Wee Mousie covered it, but I'd like to add that no matter how much protesting would be done, nothing would be done.

Imagine a Murkan group of workers doing a French-styled boss kidnap. Bullets 'a flyin'.

I don't know why it would be a "bloodbath" here or why there would be a "few dozen fatalities." There are demonstrations every day in America almost all peaceful and there is never an incident which is why we don't hear about them.

I own dual citizenship with the U.S. and Great Britain. I have family members that work in Scotland Yard and they have their share of demonstrations that are not peaceful and just like here force is met with force. They have tasers, guns, tear gas, clubs, and everything needed to quell violent protest.

As usual Utah you have some wonderful stuff on your blog. I did a lot of perusing today:-)
