Similar thing happened around here the other day - a neighbor of mine found a wandering Pekingese and tried to find the owner and then turned him in to the local shelter. He was almost adopted out before the owner found out and came and got him. Sometimes they just go home on their own if they are left to their own devices. I would never pick up a cat and take it without knowing whether it belonged to someone!!!Mauigirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15529827915262851910noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5954604416278665691.post-12547706446497951472010-08-02T18:10:56.586-06:002010-08-02T18:10:56.586-06:00Yeah, I just had a good feeling about Bob. So he is for sure getting fixed. He gets the rest of his shots in a couple of weeks. I'm going to try real hard to keep him from slipping out every time the door opens. But just in case, he'll be wearing a breakaway collar with a tag containing his name and phone number.

We live on a very narrow street where people do part at the curb. It's also a dead end street so there is no through traffic and what little traffic there is, is local and can't go over 20 miles per hour. Almost everybody has a cat or two and many have dogs as well, so we're a critter friendly place. We even have a couple who trap the strays, get the neutered and tagged as strays. Then they leave food and water on their porches for these strays. We're a bit strange that way.Utah Savagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16385093247915560752noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5954604416278665691.post-60430045253929111032010-08-02T13:21:45.463-06:002010-08-02T13:21:45.463-06:00That is good news indeed. That will settle him down some when he's stuck indoors.

Also, we just make our poor cats stay inside all the time so we don't have to go searching for them. Around here if they roam free, they run a serious risk of being run over or snatched by coyotes.lisahgoldenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11158660223296807317noreply@blogger.com
