Reality Again

A break for those of you flummoxed by my literary turn of mind. I need to bitch about the weather. It has been the longest winter in my memory. In all honesty that's not a terribly impressive statistic, since my memory only lasts from season to season, still, it's been horrible. Yesterday was chilly. Yes the sun did shine most of the day, but it's been down into the low thirty degrees most nights. Now today it's hot. Not Texas hot, but from fifty and breezy yesterday, to high seventies and hot today--well it's damn disconcerting. And it's supposed to be in the fifties tonight. Usually we have long slow springs, time to get the yard cleaned up, and a garden space of sorts ready for planting. Not this year. Fuck no. This year we go straight from hard, cold, snowy winter to summer, do not pass go, do not collect anything, not even winter-kill, not even late falling leaves left to rot beneath the snow. And tomorrow? Cold and rainy.

God am I glad to see you back. I have tried half the damn day to say something on your site and fuck if I can.

I left you a message on my post "Torture Anyone?" but you didn't show up.

So here's the deal. I'm spilling my gust daily and you seem to be an intelligent person, though it's hard to tell by the skull and crossbones. A little scary if you don't mind my saying so. So what gives with that? And why does it take a damn genius or a technowhizz to post a fucking comment at your place? Hummm? And regarding you actual post, I completely agree. My source for this information is Naomi Wolf and my own brains. Do you do your own writing, or post the words of others. Are you from Gitmo come to take me off for some water-boarding? Who are you dear?

The weather is crazy here as well. One day we will have 80 degree weather and sunny, of course the pollen covers everything. The next we will have a "cold" day then a rainy weather for a few days. Its tears my sinuses up giving me headaches for days on in.

shhhhh..... i don't like to draw too much attention to myself.

i'm a disembodied cyberspirit with only a tenuous existence..... and, well, it's not really existence, but it is a reasonable facsimile of existence as far as you know......

i've chosen the skull (with large gaping sockets) and crossbones cartoon as my most potent avatar because it is very menacing and has the power to deter the nefarious intentions of others...... push the power button and poof! i'm gone!

i don't know why my blog doesn't work..... it's a stupid blog and i can't make it work right......

i mainly copy things i find in cyberspace and help to build the collage that everybody else is building.....

if you want to make me flip..... hit me with a microchip

Ohio is the worst. The other day... 65 and sunny. Today, 37 and dank.

I think any state could trump this one maybe.

K, I've missed you. Whe are we going to get in that argument about Stop Loss? I keep checking.

Beach, thanks for not making fun of me. My nose hurt so much from leaf mold and pollen, I have to go to the damn doctor tomorrow and my car won't start and it's supposed to be cold and rainy. Once I pay for the taxi, I'll never be able to buy a lemon again.

So, ghost, male or female? Animal or mineral? Larger than a breadbox?

Ghost, buddy, if you aren't trying for a little unwanted attention you're wearing the wrong costume. Post a picture of a harmless middle aged academic, scraggy, short, gray beard, balding in front with a wispy combover and a long thin pony tail. No one will give you a second look. Also you could look like a woman over sixty and no one will look at you. Certain looks are a great disguise. Besides, you're on my site remember? What the hell's an avitar? Is that some super hero shit? Homie don't play that game.

I'm looking forward to when I can relax my mind a bit and read through the results of your "literary turn of mind." I'm not quite flummoxed, but I'm certainly lazy. Although, let me take that back. I've been begun reading an excellent book recently, entitled, "Attention Deficit Disorder - The Unfocused Mind in Children and Adults" ... it's explaining a lot of things about me that have puzzled me since I was a kid. I was a very good student and ultimately managed to get through college and graduate school, but I've never been able to do well at organizing my things or my life --- meet deadlines, find the time to have fun, keep a blog going, read books from cover to cover, clean my room as a kid . Chaos.

Anyway, one thing I'm not going to do is take the recommendations of this author and turn to more chemicals to straighten my brain out. I'm done with that.

Anyway, this delayed spring is happening here in New York as well, and it is definitely messing with my mind and make me want to growl. I recently moved out of the city just so I could have a garden and get my hands dirty ... and I'm itching to get at it!!!

Have a great (albeit chilly) day, UT!!

I've been following along your life story with interest.

The winter in Portland has been abnormally long and cold too. We went from low 50° range highs to a one day spring of 80° on Saturday and are now back in the low 50° range again.
