Well Randal, we now have twelve--as of now, a mere eight hours after I said twelve, we have fifteen stories in the collection. Ha! Take that you lazy writers! It was a little over a month ago Dcup and I decided to get this little project going. Well it's going great guns and other weapons. Are you scared yet you XY types? Well you should be. Once you read these stories, you will be looking at you wives in a whole new way. Thanks Ghost for the right song at the right time.
Dead Sound
I hear the sound of falling love
As I wonder where you are
Hits the ground with a dead sound
know you aint got far
You're too stupid and sissy like
To say that you want out
You make the eyes of a million girls
And you think you'll make them shout
Dead Sound

Bah. I already know I'm on my wife's secret, Nixonian list. I guess it isn't very secret, after all. So, as for your murdering alter egos, in the immortal words of Der Leader, bring it on.
Am I one of the lazy ones? Back to work. Damn, blogs are so entertaining to read, particularly yours.
I am one of the lazy ones, too. I understand that Utah is going to come to Georgia to stand over me while I write if I don't get on the stick.
I'd better get the cantaloupe and corn bread ready, huh? ;-)
Damn Straight! I mihgt even hold Mathman hostage.
What is this about stories? What did I miss? Can I contribute?
X-Y, shmecks-Y.
I have no wife to murder, and don't desire to kill my husband, YET, but that won't stop me from your ghoulish challenge.
I'll need a new nom de plume for this task though. Hmmm.
Yes K you can contribute. I'll email you particulars. I did invite you quite awhile ago when we were discussing this in the blogs. But I'm sure you can come up to speed fast--I know a bit of your writing skill--this should be a piece of cake for you.
UC, we might consider you a special case--cause your special.
I shouldn't try to read 'in between' things (laundry, finishing up making dinner) but that's life as a parent..
from what I've read so far (the first link you referred me to), I couldn't help but think; I wonder how that would be in script format? Short stories for film perhaps? The descriptions just gave me the idea that perhaps it could be put into screenplay format, of course as such, the stories are too short. But then, if you were to do so, and you had to lenghthen the story, how would it turn out? Hmm...
that's what came up to me but then I'm biased, I write, pardon me, have WRITTEN in screenplay format. After I emigrated to North America over 20yrs ago and read an english translation of Dostoyevski's 'The Idiot', I was totally depressed thinking, 'there's no way in hell I can ever write like that'. (descriptive writing?? I don't know what many 'things' are called..you know..that that 'thing'![g])..
anyhow..so I switched, as an outlet, to script writing..not that anything ever came off it..alas..but I'm waiting till the new year to join up with this script doctor who gives excellent classes..and I've taken a few in the past so I think she's good but that's off-topic..
good writing, evocative..OBVIOUSLY!
hugs
Ingrid

No story from me, but how I enjoyed this post (and does Ghost Dansing ever not come up with the best song?) and will look forward to what is to follow.
Ingrid, my screenwriting friend. I'd like you to read the chapter in my book Maggy, the one called "Body Warmth." Imagine a different ending for that chapter. Imagine the quarter swing of the gun. Lets talk.
I've written the back story of Junior and Judith. It's not quite finished yet, and it's in rough draft form, but I think I might post it to see what comes to your minds Randal, Ingrid, Beach, you know who you are... I have said it before; I'm not my own best editor, but like most writers, I insist on my version of the story--usually. Sometimes we're wrong, but at least we know what we want to say and why. It's the little details that say so much. Sometimes it's the dead sound.
OK, where the fuck can I post me story?
And btw, you have this music shit all wrong people. I mean it, this "dead sound" thing is cute, would be nice for a season opener, it has lovely commercial opportunity, but it has ZERO ARTISTIC bearing like, say, a Hitchcock soundtrack.
Even if it wasn't Miklos Rosza, or any of the other thunder gods.
If you ain't just PRETENDING to be a murderess, listen to this
And btw, the silly code thing is askingme to enter "amemi." Take that as a sign from the alleged gods;
DO WHAT I SAY!
Heh.
Mr Unconventional, if you're going to play with the XX types, you can't act like a bully or we just might knock you off. Now the instructions are for you to email your story to me and I, yes, I get to decide if you are indeed a murdering XX type, and then I'll tell you what to do with your story.
And one more thing, UC, while were on the topic of the Thunder Gods, your model is all male all the time. Wagner, Verdi, Beethoven--yes, there might be a powerhouse contralto doing the singing now and then, but murderous women who get away with it? Not so much. Shakespeare did one play as I recall where there were some real murdering bitchs, King Lear comes to mind--loved those bad girls, Goneril and Regan, but in all men's play and stories and books, the bad girls have to die and the good girls always triumph. How very boring. Fuck that! I'm wanting a female Richard the III--my favorite villain, my favorite Shakespeare play.
