T Boone Pickens--Oilman

Every time I see T Boone Pickens say "This is one problem we can't drill our way out of," in his ad, I grow ever more convinced even old oilmen know the Bush years and the prospect of McCain years have disastrous consequences for the planet our economy and our country. He promises more ads to come. Shit, anyone with half a brain knows four more years of this crap and we should start looking for a revolution or a run for the border.

i'm glad to see some of these people finally breaking ranks.

i thought it was funny on hardball today, when chris matthews kept asking trent lott (who was there shilling for mccain), OVER and OVER and OVER again whether or not george bush had "grown" in office. lott kept dodging the question, i don't recall what he actually ended up saying, but i think he pretty much implied:

NO.

Duh.

Yes that was a fine moment. I saw it and Lott finally did admit that Bush had not "grown in the office." Every once in awhile I like Matthews.

I think I am thrilled that T Boone Pickens is speaking up. Finally.

Doesn't Pickens have stock or his hand in the jar of wind power?

We'll have alternative energies and these fucks will still own everything. Oh well, better renewables than squished plants.

which border?? ;-)

( and what if we are not able to run???)

sigh..

good post , good points...

I too saw that Lott interview...and Chris asked if McCain had grown, matured???? I laughed...

and then the same about Bush...and Lott looked a bit uncomfortable....

About MrPickens....I guess he already made his money...I mean how bad is it when an Oilman is telling the truth????

i don't have any problem at all with a guy like pickens having his hand in both cookie jars (so to speak). hey, if he's got the capital to fund research and development in alternative energies, all the power to him (no pun intended!). and if he makes a bunch a money, good for him. we live in a capitalist society, after all (for the most part). let the capitalists do their thing, the RIGHT thing for once.

Saw Picken's commercial and ran to the site. Hope his efforts see some results. Actually I was getting worried I was the only one seeing the commercial, you and I are the only blogs about him I've seen.

I still don't trust T.Boone as far as I can throw him.

He helped to fund the swiftboat vets that went after John Kerry...among other smarmy things.

I do think his ideas about alternative energy are good however.
