Sinead always shines the light of truth in a beautiful compelling way. Always.

This is Phillip's post--probably not the song he would have chosen, but suites my head space fine--I feel as if I've been put under a spell. Slowed to a floating brainless, simmering slumbering rage that's more like a dream than real. This is a bipolar stage. And it's a place I hope to pass through fairly quickly, though it's upon me now. If I don't get out to visit you today, please forgive me. I'm thinking of you, just too madly wafty to wander far from my bed.

Thanks Phillip. I can say that every day, but today it's sung for me by Sinead floating in an egg.

This is labeled Universal Mother. I think in some odd way Phillip is my universal mother. I would say these things to him and fear he wouldn't understand what I meant, but if it's sung by Sinead makes it okay. Unless he comes forward and says, "I'm not your mother!"

I don't know how this is going to sound but this song brought back something my five year old daughter said to me and how her simple thanks was like a punch to the heart.
Utah, as you have read at my posts many times my daughter is an orphan from China and at that orphanage we got her from she was one of a huge number of small helpless babies that depended on a dedicated but over worked staff to take care of them. Because the babies could get no where near enough human contact that a normal parent-child relationship would give I learned that the staff would put two babies in a crib so they at least would have each other. I think that situation still affects my daughter even now.
Miss Wiggles, my daughter, has never liked to sleep alone and as she gotten older it has become far harder to keep her in her bed at night. What usually happens is that she will crawl into bed with me late in the night and stay with me until the morning. One night for some reason she absolutely refused to sleep alone and I had to lay down with her in her room. I was extra tired that night and I also fell asleep and didn't wake up until at least 11:00pm and when I got up to try and sneak back to my bedroom after going to the bathroom she appeared at the bathroom door as I opened it and said:
"Daddy, thank you for not leaving me."
That little sad face tore me up and I crawled back into bed with her for the rest of the night.
