The Last of Autumn's Flowers

This is another of Melea's landscapes. Maybe better described as a detail in a larger landscape. Early Autumn in the foothills east of Salt Lake City.

I will be the gladdest thing
Under the sun!
I will touch a hundred flowers
And not pick one.
~Edna St. Vincent Millay, "Afternoon on a Hill"

My daughter loves flowers and wants to pick everyone. Awesome photo.

Beach, you romantic you. Quoting much loved poems to the old woman. Don't you miss Anita? Remember when she posted a poem once a week. Maybe I'll revive her tradition until she gets up and running on te blogs.

I loved my uncle there.

He was a skinny little bugger that could drink his weight in beer everyday.

Where the hell is Anita?

We should all just post poetry until she returns.
