Manic and Heading for a CRASH!

Well, all it takes to know that I have been manic is a look at the number of rambling, incoherent, and entirely unworthy posts I've written or assembled over the past couple of days. To you it's the weekend. To me it's just Saturday and Sunday, no different from Monday, let's say. One can only go that fast so long without eventually crashing. Oh, I still have the boundless energy, but having refused to use it to some necessary good, like dusting for instance, I am still sitting here typing away. So, now it's time to apologize to those insomniacs who have been following this oncoming crash.

It is amazing to me that I can have so much fun, sitting here in my bunker typing away into the wee small hours (oh Sinatra, must YouTube that) of the morning entertaining myself immensely. But then to awaken with a sore throat and a crashing headache and still refuse to see the dust. But not any more. No, now I will dust, dammit. But just in case you're dying for some Chairman of the Board, here it comes...

utah ... up, down, in between. we (and i'm being audacious enough to speak for your regular readers and fans), are here and we're not going away. pre-crash, crash and post-crash. we are here to stay. and you have the freedom to temporarily opt out if necessary (but we hope that's not the case).

either way ... know that we care.

How I love you Anita. And where did that lovely Anita photo go? Maybe the same place as my nice post of Vivaldi. Poof!

Been real hectic around here and about the only time I can get to write is very late at night. Even now my son and daughter are downstairs screaming at each other over cookie dough, and who gets to lick the pot.
The problem for me in writing late is that my eyes get tired and my typing goes to hell. Got to go stop the screaming.

Beach, I have that same problem writing at night. My fingers get stoned.

Hi Utah-

I love 'following' you.......I am pretty limber, flexible even, although my new theme song is 'The Old Grey Mare, She Ain't What She Used To Be"..... :-)

I am here for the long haul!

Love,
Gail
peace.....

Sometimes a little manic can be a good thing...especially if you can put it to use dusting, LOL! (Something I detest doing).

Seriously, hope you're doing OK. And I do love me some Sinatra!

NO, no, no: whatever you do--do not clean. What's wrong with writing? Cutting's the easy part. You can do that when your energy or intensity wanes a bit.

I speak from experience. Every six months or so, I used to (no vice is easier to shed than compulsive cleaning) succumb to weekend long cleaning binges. And all that perfectionism, that laser beam vision got wasted on the crud between the bathroom tiles. I'd scrub the floors and comb the carpets and polish the baseboards. And write nothing good, nothing bad, better or worse. And, guess what? A month later, no mss., no rambling or ranting from characters who knew everything that's wrong with the world. No, no, no, instead I found an accumulation of more dust, more stains, more sour milk in the fridge, and more crud in the bathroom tiles--than ever, ever.
Please, tell me I didn't get to you too late. Never, ever clean when you have the juice to write. Rule of thumb here: Only clean ten minutes before some authority is stopping by because your neighbors have complained about a suspicious odor wafting up from under your floorboards.

Kathleen you have just given me the first guffaw of the day. Want to get married? We can flip for who cleans when the authorities are about to arrive.

You're getting plenty of good advice here, so just let me say - what they said.

Hey, U.S.,

"Normal" people bore us, you know.

Well, I'm one damn lucky woman then.

Utah, don't think of it as a a "crash," think of it as hibernation.
