A Sunday Song to Get You Dancing

Ghost Dansing introduced me to this artist just the other day. Now I can't get enough of her. Much of it has to do with the artistry of her videos. I'm not quite so fond of her live performances but Monsieur Randal would like her French pieces, yes, those parts too. She is a pleasing bit of eye-candy for us all.

Now go to church children, while Nanna stays in the garden of Eden and loads her bong.

It was down in Chinatown that I met the opium Queen
babyface girl from Shanghai never smile and never cry.

She now rules the underworld down in Chinatown
she runs all the opium den down in Chinatown.

Bring her your gold bring her your worries
and when life gets a bit too dreary to stand

give a ring to the Queen of Chinatown

There is something about that beat of the electric drum machine that turns me off. Too far from my acoustic roots. I must always be sure to turn off my speakers when I visit you dear Ghost as this is the beat of your site. Don't be hurt, just an old woman's preferences. And please don't stop introducing me to "new" music.

My comment or your musical choice?

wow, i never heard of her. she's kind of a hybrid of bjork and that woman who is johnny depp's wife (i can't remember her name ... i guess 'cause i'm pissed off that johnny depp is married to her and not me).

;)

Yea, I hate that French bitch that married MY Johnny Depp.

no my musical choice.... i liked the lyrics better than the music or video. but the imagery of your follow-on selection for Emilie Simone (de dame lotus) reminded me of opium (the sap from poppie flowers) and opium dens (with oriental hair) and a figure that looked like smoke, black oil flowing from a flower, and then your comment about a bong..... made me think of opium.
