I have to go to bed early tonight as there will be an early party at my little house. My friends from New York are in town and ready to be with me when we see President Obama sworn in the morning. I'm providing the espresso, the organic milk, an ashtray, and two screens from which to watch. They'll bring something to eat. We'll party here all day long. And we'll probably talk about it here and there and on twitter as the day goes on. See you tomorrow.

Free at last!
I am excited about tomorrow also. Wish I could have made the trip to DC...but I may attend the Spokane Demos party sometime tomorrow.
Party On!
Clink!
That's great, sounds like you'll have a wonderful day.
We'll be with a bunch of other folks at a local restaurant watching it there along with a buffet lunch! Took the day off from work. It feels as if it should be a holiday! And tomorrow night a bunch of our close friends are coming over to celebrate and have fondue!
I hope you have a wonderful time with your friends. I will be raising a glass to you and basking in the "new day."
Tomorrow is the day!!!!!!
So you are on my list of surrogate celebrators as well. Even downunder we give a goddamn!!!
"Clink!" I'll be alone today, (hubby at work and kids at school) blubberin' all day long.... I can't help but feeling that this day is just soooooo monumental, and I lived to see it... I'm not normally inot history....but weeze been part of makin' it!!!!
Party on, and raise your elbow (at least once) for me!!

Just a quick comment to say I have not commented much recently because my new computer shit the bed and I am now using a fussy 12 year old one that does not like going Internet. For instance, I timed the page load of your blog and it took 1 minute 28 seconds to load. The comment section was a tad better, only took 40 seconds or so. When we straighten out the newer puter, I will be by more often.
Anyway, enjoy this day. It is indeed time to party. The big old bad wolf is gone. Or will be in a couple of hours.
i'm so thrilled!
It's a dazzling day in the flatlands. But even if the sun were behind a cloud, there could be no dimming of the magnificence of this day.
Sending grace and goodwill to the 44th president of these great United States.
Someday we will all be able to say, "My eyes have seen the glory!"
And tonight.....par-TEE!!
