Utah, Rachel's Air America show saved me so many nights after working 12-hour days. I used to love listening to her driving home at night.
The phrase, "Elections have consequences," actually comes from Senator Barbara Boxer (only :58). I love that Maddow's quoting her. This is one of the best political videos ever.
Rachel rocks! We are finally getting to see the great women role models in our nation in positions of power. Did anyone ever think women would achieve any positions of power?
I hope you like this clip of Brown stating Prop 8 is anti-Constitutional. He's taking his objection to the Supreme Court fighting against the loathesome Kenneth Starr.
Jerry's a several-generation, native Californian, and Starr isn't—Starr can take his conservative ass back to Texas and stay out of our politics and our law schools. (He teaches law at a stiflingly conservative university here.)
Starr is a crotch sniffing douchebag, not to insult douchebags. Starr should not be let out of his ideological hole in the ground Texas bible-belt backwater.
Nor yet, I'm watching Rachel. I'll probably watch Babs and post Babs tomorrow. Thanks for all the easy posts for me. Why are you so generous? I'm getting my blog spoon fed to me and it's not on your blog. Honey, don't be a loopy cunt. Save the good stuff for yourself. Call me Al. No offense meant mam.
Rachel is the bomb. I don't get MSNBC and have to rely on the quips I get online to appreciate her more and more. A friend told me about her just when election season was beginning and I make a daily trip to the site to see what Sleep well dear.
Me too. Thanks for posting this - I thought it was a clip from the other night (also about consequences) but realized as I was watching it that it was a different one from the one I was thinking of - and equally perfect. She is fantastic the way she sums things up.
Speaking of generous, how do you create all this wonderful writing for us?
Yes, SaoirseDaily2, unfortunately the world has not lost its burden of Kenneth Starr. But George Carlin is gone. Doesn't make any damn sense. I know how to get his email address, so I'm planning to write him a little letter about Prop 8, which I will post on my blog Utah.
=P
I will be highly amused to see that ignorant bigot try and cross swords with Jerry Brown. He's in for the fight of his life.
Did anybody catch her on The Daily Show last night? She doesn't own a TV. Does not watch cable news. She does not want to be like the rest of the cable news crap. It was a great bit of Rachel, unmade up and real.
Stella, link that email address for Starr so we can all let him know what an ass sniffing turd he is. Have I now crossed the line, and will I get kicked off blogger?
I like that Rachel doesn't owna TV.... That fact makes me believe that her thoughts and insights are genuine, true and unbiased.... I wish I were half as smart as she is.... Thanks for picking out the best of Rachel to share with us, Utah....
He's the Dean? For those of you so inclined to continue the fight against Prop 8.
I don't think you've crossed the line, Utah. I do think "someone else" has.
I didn't know Rachel didn't have a TV, either. Too bad I'm so addicted. No wonder she's so wise. I'll bet she listens to talk radio, like Air America. Nothing gets to one's imagination like good radio and good books.
Yes, Randal, we'll have to see if we can do better. At least Burris is coming closer to taking Obama's vacated Senate seat.
Rumor has it he and Reid had a little chat about the matter. Are we actually getting a president that takes responsibility?
I am a self-published writer of short stories, poetry, and politics. I'm a rescuer of dogs and stray cats. I believe everything is political—especially sex and religion.

Did you watch Babs? It's quick and to the point. Your "Al" comment has been left at the batshit Hume post.

I think Rachel speaks for all of us on the left side of the aisle.
I was hoping Ken Starr died a long time ago...he's back? I guess every so often snakes do climb out from under there rock.
Has your snow stopped? The snow is melting here and the roads are dry, but, things can change overnight around here. Have a relaxing evening.

TheMom, you can watch her online, realtime, I'm pretty sure.
It's nice, as Rachel noted, to know that the political ground has shift. Old, accepted conventional wisdom was upended. I like that somehow....
Lisa darling, you're up late. Oh yeah, I forgot, it's not a school/work night.
I'm glad you like this clip. It's hard to find current Maddow clips. But this is a favorite of mine.
"Elections have consequences."
We'll see if the Dems hold to that, or buckle like a belt. I'm not holding my breath.
Why is Ken Starr not in prison scrubbing the insides of toilets?
America is going to be America again.....
