Anyone with a brain who does not believe that panels or just people in charge do not exist that pass life or death judgements on claims is brain dead. Of course there are. Anytime profit is the endgame, decisions based on profit/loss will be made. It sucks, but there it is. This is actually only a small part of the huge bag of reasons we need healthcare reform.

Great post, Peggy. That ad says it all. I agree with MRMacrum, too. This has become a morality play, as I point out in my own blog's latest post, aimed at those of the religious right who support the greedy insurance companies over basic common sense and fairness. It's time we as a nation started thinking and behaving like responsible adults and stopped trying to fulfill our obsession with high profits on a matter as basic as health care for all. It should be a right for everybody, not a luxury item for some!

Thank you gentlemen. Of course you're right. I hope a lot of people watched Bill Moyers Journal last week. It was the best show I've seen on the subject of healthcare for the uninsured. Lose a job and you're fucked.

Michele Bachmann is a treat. Where are we gonna find another nutter like her? I only feel a twinge of regret because I know lot of good people in the district that elected her.

Health insurance reform I'm all about: SocMed, not so much.
End legalized insurance monopolies (read CRONYISM)!
Why is it everyone railed against Bush and his Oil company buddies jacking up the fuel prices, but nobody's saying shit about insurance lobbies and allocated territories?
