Old Romantic
My ex, first love, last love, called from LAX last night to say he was headed back to Costa Rica to see his dentist. It's cheaper to fly round trip to have the work done there, than have it done in Santa Barbara where he's been hanging out with his second ex-wife. I am amazed that they have moved past the hating each other faze to the living in the same house together again. Wonder's seem never to cease. He said to watch for a package. And today arrived the package. Two bottles of my favorite perfume, habanita by Molinard. I gave up wearing it years ago, when I stopped flying to big cities in foreign countries with fancy duty free stores at the airports. It was my signature fragrance for all the years he and I were together. We haven't lived together in many years. He has come to visit, usually sometime around my birthday. This gift is an early birthday present. Included with the fragrance was a sheet of yellow legal paper with a note in his unmistakable hand. He says he looks forward to smelling me. Now that's romantic.

Kinda like Nelson from The Simpsons. One of his signature lines is "smell ya later!"
Exactly like that.
It IS romantic! Like when Napolean said to Josephine, "I arrive tonight; don't bathe".
holy shit...that is the most romantic thing I have heard in years...wow....
very very sweet too..( that you write so he sent paper...)
dcup's reaction was the same as mine. I thought of "smell ya later."
...he was headed back to Costa Rica to see his dentist. It's cheaper to fly round trip to have the work done there...
Saw some report on TV that out-of-country dental/medical trips are being bundled with outright family vacations and they are still cheaper than having some procedures here in the United States.
Looks forward to smelling you....that certainly is romantic indeed.
I got along with one of my ex's..number two, so well...that I married him again. I shit you not. ;)
It lasted shorter than the first go around sadly...but he loved to smell Opium on moi. That perfume and my pheromones worked wonderfully together.
Can I third the Simpsons reference?
Who doesn't love to smell a little opium, a splash of laudanum. Though I find Head and Shoulders to be the key ingredient to all my conquests. That and nothing good on teevee.
Randal, a true romantic you are sir! ;p
Reminds me of a joke. It's purely sexist in nature and all Hillary loving people will be offended:
Three women: one engaged, one married, and one a mistress, are
chatting about their relationships and decide to amaze their men....
that night all three will wear a leather bodice S&M style, stilettos
and mask over their eyes .
After a few days they meet again.....
The engaged girlfriend said: "The other night, when my boyfriend came
back home, he found me in the leather bodice, 4" stilettos and mask. He
said, "You are the woman of my life, I love you...then we made love all
night long."
The mistress stated: "Oh Yes! The other night we met in his office. I
was wearing the leather bodice, mega stilettos, mask over my eyes and a
raincoat. When I opened the raincoat, he didn't say a word. We just had
wild sex all night."
The married one then said: "The other night I sent the kids to stay at
my mother's for the night, I got myself ready, leather bodice, super
stilettos and mask over my eyes.
My husband came in from work, grabbed the TV controller and a beer,
and said, "Hey Batman, what's for dinner?"
habinita is translated as Little Havana. Probably a vacation spot for the Molinard perfume makers prior to the revolution. So it smells like Cuban cigars, Cuban whores, and spilled Caribbean cocktails, with just the faint whiff of tropical sweat. Just makes you want to get nasty doesn't it? Nasty in a hot humid way. I spell habinita uncapitalized because that's how the Molinard people sell it.
Dusty- That is great!
U. Savage- It sounds like the presumptuous bastard will get his way. ;)
Smelling is certainly underrated.
