My dear friend Rachel who lives in New York sent this to me in an email. This is especially disturbing to anyone who lives near Canyon Lands. And should be of concern to all of you because it's one more way Dubya can help his buddies in the oil industry and fuck over the rest of us before he leaves office. He must be stopped. He isn't done screwing the American people yet.

Right you are! Here in WA were still having problems with the administration of nuclear waste at Hanford. It ain't gonna stop, till someone sticks a foot up Dubya's ass and yet who knows how many of "his guys" are gonna continue the same crap -- just not as publicly.
We dare not forget today that we are the heirs of that first revolution. Let the word go forth from this time and place, to friend and foe alike, that the torch has been passed to a new generation of Americans -- born in this century, tempered by war, disciplined by a hard and bitter peace, proud of our ancient heritage, and unwilling to witness or permit the slow undoing of those human rights to which this nation has always been committed, and to which we are committed today at home and around the world.
Ghost that made me cry it's so beautiful.
I'm feeling good about tomorrow, hopefully Obama's Secretary of the Interior will reverse it.
UT S, I hit on this a little today too. The way it's being done will not allow a new adm to easily reverse. Congress will have to be involved. What Bush did was start proceedings to f*ck Utah Wilderness 90-days before inauguration which satisfies some arcane rule about only stuff done by the previous executive within 30-days can be reversed by the new exec. Really really shitty. BLM gave the public 15-days to respond, from Oct 16-Nov 1 without any public notice. If you've got anything to say, direct it to Mr. Dirk Kempthorne, the Interior Secretary:

because surely UT Senators Hatch & Bennett don't give a fig, nor do the AZ senators care about a million acres near the Grand Canyon being opened for new uranium mining with any environmental assessment of potential damage to air & water.
Oh I also left you a link to some TS Eliot somewhere at the end of that blog.
