I'm Clotted Just Right So I Went Shopping

This is my new hat. I love it. I paid $4 for it at my nearest thrift store. I went shopping for summer shorts large enough to accommodate my fat ass and my gut, which looks to me like I might be, oh maybe, 7 months pregnant. And I did find comfortable shorts, but I also found three pairs of summer shoes, a great dress-up dress (Isaac Mizrahi) with original tags, so never worn. It's gorgeous. Found shoes to wear with it too. I found summer tops galore. And best of all I found a hand blown glass vase that I'm positive is a one of a kind piece of gorgeous Art, deserving of that capital A, at $8. Be sure you pronounce the word "vase" with the reverence it deserves. God I love days like this

And as for the clotting factor--perfect! I don't have to go back to the doctor for a whole month. Now I need to give myself the pedicure I deserve.

Oh, I'm so glad to see you. Is it drying up fast enough for you to come a chain sawing? We really do need to be friends. I have been hating myself over my treatment of you. I really need to repair the damage if I can. But because of the self loathing in regard to my treatment of you, I'm not okay to call you unless you're sure you can stand to be around me. I'm still savage anyway you look at it. And I'm not confident that I have control of the savage bitch, so...

You can call me anytime, remember you are number one on my speed dial.
My chainsaw is ready to rock and roll just let me know when you have the Savage sort of under control.
(she kinda turns me on)

Amos darling, you are a danger to yoursef if that savage broad kinda turns you on. She's horrible. I want nothing to do with her. She scares me.

I really like the hat. You look like a model.
I buy hats then seldom wear them. Only in the coldest weather do I drag them out.
I love them.
I don't know why I don't remember I have them in that bottom drawer.
If you go back to your recent post on my site, you will find the http. Or go to you last post.
I'm glad you had a great day. I've been to Portland to visit my kids and their families and dogs and cats.

That is an incredible day - I'm so happy for you. I wish I could be a real bargain shopper. I try - but I am not the best. The hat is great. I love hats and have quite a few.

You look smashing in that hat. Now I want pix of the dress up dress, the vahse, and anything else. I'm selfish like that, aren't I?

You give me pix, I give you 24/7 live Golden Manor webcam. And all will be right with the world.

Beee-U-ti-ful you in that hat. The photo itself (self portrait) is a lovely scene.

All that & proper clotting!

Woo Hoo!!!

Woo Hoo! I love your enthusiasm Fran.

YDG, I have a huge head. And a square jaw. I need a hat to balance the whole thing. And a hat hides a multitude of hair sins. I'm growing the hair longer so my hair always looks like it needs a cut at the moment. I cut it myself, and am having a hell of a time resisting grabbing the scissors every time I take a shower. Must be cut wet. But oddly I find it cooler in hot weather to be able to pull it into a tiny pony tail to keep it off my neck. It's either go really short or a little longer. I'm trying a little longer now. We'll see. Maybe I'll take a poll.

I don't shop anywhere but the thrift store when it comes to clothes and home decor. Even my profile pic is a piece of thrift store art, the real one is hanging on the wall here.

Just to one up Steve... I love your Cappello!!
I wish I could wear hats but unfortunaly I was blessed with a huge brain and the sized head in which to house it. Hats do not suit me! :(
You on the other hand look just lovely!
Hope you enjoyed your pedicure!

You have to pronounce "vase" like Tallulah Bankhead.

Beautiful. And, the hat is nice. I went to the thrift store yesterday, too.

Randal, I'll Clockwork Orange you, you smart ass. It may look like a beaver bowler, but it's straw or rafia, and were I a blond or had white hair like I should, it would look all lacy. I can't help it if my aura is so black.

I'm dealing with the smart asses first, La Belette Rouge. When you gain another ten pounds over the winter and none of your shorts fit even if you could find them in the back of your chaotic closet then shopping you must go. I only shop at the thrift store unless I'm buying undies. So there and the doctor I saw was just my nurse practioner to check my clotting factor. I'm not salving myself with the purchase of anything as frivolous as a necklace... Oh, well, there was that hat... and the dress... and the little kitten heel backless strappy brown sandals which now requires a pedicure even if I have to do it myself. I need a hair trim too, and a touch up of the roots. I have as much work to do on myself as I do on the house or the garden. Which reminds me of my eyebrows which really need a good pruning. And I should really start wearing make up again since I take better care of my skin when I need to remove makeup before bed. I have enough makeup to last a life time, I was a makeup artist among other things. Why let myself turn into a slob. I need to shape up or admit I've given up.

Now for the rest of you lovely people; thank you, thank you. Can you see me bowing?

Blueberry I'm envious of your avatar painting. So glad you have it on the wall. What ever you paid for it, it was a bargain. Would you call it a primitive painter, or a studied, art school educated painter? One you've heard of or a complete unknown? As you caan tell, I love portraits, and self portraits especially. Wild creative crazy self portraits are my favorite. Was the painter a woman?

Freida, it makes me shiver with pleasure to see you. I'll meet you at your place later this evening. I'll be wearing my hat.

Kevin, I am the one true incarnation of Tallulah and Dorothy Parker, with a little bit of Carson McCullers. But I'm turning into May Sarton.

That is an incredible hat! Looks to me like you're gettin' yer good on early this week, but I thought I'd stop in and remind you it's Only the Good Friday! (I know you said you keep forgetting... hehe!) I count you among my good this week, my new friend!
Peace.

Love the hat! I'm a sucker for hats myself - am always buying them but then never have the nerve to actually wear them for some reason. Or else it's too windy and they blow off! You look great in that one.

Hope you had a great pedicure!
