Seems like Utahns go out of their way to mangle names, doesn't it?
Tooo-ellah and Sah-lye-nah ... those always crack me up (yes I am easily amused)!
But I have to correct one ... the local (mis)pronunciation of Hurricane is Hurr-cunn ... after awhile you get so used to it, it seems odd to hear meteorologists on TV.
what's so strange about those?!? If you live there you don't notice how ridiculous sounding the names of places are in Utah but when you move away...wow what a blow-back!

Sad, I've been to most of those towns. Loved it. Thanks for sharing.

Ah, melodic Beach Boys with a Utah backdrop. SWEET!

Tooele + Tooo-ellah? When stationed at White Sands Missile Range in the 60's, we called it "Tooley" ?????
