For Tengrain and Susan
I have a bottle of Bourbon and something nice to smoke. So I invite my two jazz loving friends, Tengrain and Susan, to spend a late Halloween evening with me listening to a great jazz vocalist play one of my favorite songs in Paris. What could be nicer. Patricia Barber is a local Chicago musician who plays around the world. she's genius. I know you like Diane Krall, but Patricia makes Diane look like a school girl IMO.
plus she's also a poet with her lyrics!
Linda I tried to find a clip of hers to post for you, but couldn't find one with good sound quality. Maybe you know just the one--if so post it at your place, and I'll come listen.

Her CD "Mythologies" is a song cycle based on the "Metamorphoses" of Ovid.
I heard her perform the songs of this CD live. brilliant!
No, you post it. I happen to love Diane Krall, you believe Patricia Barber is the superior lyricist and vocalist so you post her and prove it to me.
