Joe the Plumber Wasn't Vetted

Any high school student could have done the research on Joe the Plumber. But certainly any enterprising journalist can do that work without leaving bed. Joe is a figment of his own and John McCain's imaginations and now he is on the radar of a lot of people that might have been overlooking the trouble that Joe the Plumber is in. He owes back taxes. He doesn't have a license. He is a subcontractor??? Doesn't that require some kind of licensing? He doesn't make much more than $40,000. a year and his boss, the guy whose business Joe wants to buy, doesn't make $200,000. a year, making them both winners in the Obama tax plan.

This shows exactly why John McCain isn't fit to lead. He makes stupid decisions without more than the impulse of the momentary mood. Yeah, that sounds good lets go with that. Let's build the narrative of the last debate all about Joe the Plumber, that'll be a winner for me. I'll get him with that line, "And you said, we need to spread the wealth around." I hadn't heard Barack ever say that, but I'm thinking, "good idea, lets." I'm betting so is Joe the Plumber.

Vetting, schmetting.

Facts have a well known liberal bias.

Joe the Plumber has already given more press interviews than Bible Spice. What Joe the Plumber did was the dumbest or dumbass thing he could have done, but it shows what McSame's followers are like.

If the media can vet Joe Shmoe that quickly, why can't they do that on someone running for office??

Leave it to McCain to push forward an unvetted "maverick", too much of a maverick to pay his taxes or apply for a stinkin' license.

How about McCain's other "Plumber" friend, G. Gordon Liddy? That's the relationship I want to see focus on, but the Obama campaign is trying to play nice.

pre-dementia.

I saw McCain on Letterman last night and Dave asked him about the other plumber, G. Gordon, and it was an interesting moment. I'll search the You Tubes for a clip today.

I'm wondering who in his campaign told McCain bringing up Joe the Plumber would show his "common touch."

Obama seemed to think it was pretty ridiculous, even laughing a bit as he referenced "Joe" during the debate.

I think I'm going to steal kulkuri's Bible Spice.

Joe the Plumber sounds like a character from Leisure Suit Larry.

oh yeah, it is just perfect. the average dumbass who thinks the republicans got their back. owes taxes, has no licence--how dumb can you get? if you have such issues why would you let yourself become a media phenom? and yes, it speaks volumes about McCain's entire campaign that they can't vet this stuff before running with it, just like they did with Palin.

I have been unable to post comments on you guys sites. Anytime the ask me for my username and password blogger won't let me post a comment. I will be reading, but probably not much commenting.

Liquid dear, thank you. I'm not really worthy. I mean it. Where's the beauty here? I make the slightest effort once in a while to give you a peek into my life, but it isn't exactly spotless or terribly lovely. I'm not the lovely type. Even when I was lovely I wasn't finding it lovely to be lovely. Know what I mean Liquid? I'm pretty sure you do. As soon as can navigate and take things home with me, I'll be there. I did leave you a long comment at your place but blogger wouldn't let me.

Randal, you can't steal Bible Spice from me as it isn't original with me. I saw the term on another blog a couple of weeks ago and thought how fitting it was. She is like a Spice Girl for the Bible-Bangers. I have also seen the term Nasty Spice but I think Bible Spice is better and her supporters may think it is complimentary when it isn't.
