Peel Me A Grape

I said I was a fan of jazz since I was very young. I love the late greats and the newcomers, but this is my favorite female vocalist, pianist, and songwriter. Her name is Diana Krall and she is married to the very lucky Elvis Costello, or was last time I heard.

These great photos of Ms. Krall are a little eye candy for us all. So Randal, feast your eyes and please your ears. And yes, we want a lot, don't we?

So, peel me a grape. And I just might give you my cornbread recipe.

i saw a recipe for cornbread in the chiropractor's office today. it was fried or something, in a patty kind of thing. it looked sooo god. i meant to rip it out. but forgot because when he cracks my neck i go into serious panic mode and run out screaming (well, not quite, but almost). damn! now i'm going to dream about cornbread.

Well, I already have a good cornbread recipe.

Fuck the corn bread, what about Diane Krall? Jesus. It's Jiffy. Jiffy cornbread mix. I follow the recipe on the box. This is my favorite female jazz artist playing these days. Pretend you've listened, looked at the pictures--it's the least you can do. Or I'll hunt you bastards down, and you know what I'll do, don't you?

I'm with you, Utah. Diana's wonderful. She's a featured singer in the movie DeLovely, one of my favs thanx to the music.

I'm lovin' all your music. So glad you learned links!

That was great! She's quite stunning..and she's married to Elvis Costello? trippy..Elvis is far from 'eye candy'.

Thanks US. ;)

"Peel me a grape" is a good song, but I use a different one to cut through the herd:

"Lush Life"" by Billy Strayhorn

And surprisingly, you wouldn't first consider Queen Latifah in this jazz crew. But I tell you, I think this is one of the better recordings of

U C I had no idea. Lush Life is one of my all time favorites. And that's a nice lush arrangement. Thanks. Keep those jazzy suggestions coming.

Listening to her right now. She is old style high class. Just her voice oozes sensuality.

sorry, US, I didn't mean to not comment Diana Krall. I LOVE her. And the thing about her is that she's not only an amazing jazz singer, she also plays a mean jazz piano as well.

And Dusty is right. Elvis is no 'eye candy.' I give her credit for not being superficial in her choice of a man. Because, as you know, men are never superficial in chosing their women.

and speaking of 'lush life' ... i love Nat King Cole's rendition. it's wonderful.
