When Country Joe and the Fish performed this song at Woodstock...it got us so fired up, as we were rebelling aginst the Vietnam war...so appropriate today. Having lost so many friends back then, senselessly, to see it repeated is inexcusable. Have a great day!

No, I am your pretzeldent.

The protest music back then wasn't loud enough.

Great song and the protest music is as pertinent today as ever, unfortunately.

DH and I just watched Dr. Strangelove for the first time in ages and it hit me that the same attitudes the American generals and others were expressing about the "commies" then are being said now about the "Islamofascists" or whatever word they decide to use for the day. The more things change the more they remain the same.

Hi guys, I'b sick again. Stress induced do doubt, but stuffy dose, wheezy, and I look sick, have do energy. I think I'b ready for Monday and the entry into the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award. Now I have a Bio, a Pitch, a why I wrote this particular novel piece, the about me peice, which is different from the official Bio, a photo, the first 5,000 words, then the whole book. All entered in the proper order, all in a specific form.

Now I shall collapse upon my fainting couch.

Bravo, Utah! I'm so proud of you. That's a major accomplishment. You even write well in "sick." You know I wish you all the luck in the world.

Oh, yes, and thanks for Country Joe and the Fish. Randal's right: the protest music was not loud enough in the good old days, but was damn good satire.

Oh, the mom, you were at Woodstock? I think that's the greatest concert in history: what a memory to treasure.

Having a partial rat race meltdown and making an emergency trip to the coast. Will drink more than a few beers to toast you sending your stuff off to the contest.

I've been a terrible friend lately. I will need to catch up on all your posts.

So appreciate your good wishes. If FranIAm were here I'd ask her to pray for me, since I have no juice at all with the Almighty, but I'm pretty sure she does.

Hey Stella, thanks for the lovely compliment. I'm as nervous as a cat on a hot... Well, you know.

I still think you're underutilizing our angry mob potential. They give you any guff about your book, we'll raise hell.

I'm with you Randal. Let's recruit an angry mob.

I love you guys.

Phillip my generous blog mate and administrator and excellent, but reluctant, editor is helping far more than I deserve.

But if I don't get the prize let's storm the castle.

That was one of my favorite songs at the time as anyday it could have been "next stop is Vietnam"!
